Our design provides those rifle sportsmen who have a preference for ergonomic design and the feel and balance that occurs due to placement of the center of gravity of the rifle at the web of the right hand.  This is the base principle in our
Center Balanced Rifle Platform System.

Center Balanced Rifle Platform Systems rifle stocks are the result of years of design and prototype development to provide products with ergonomic feel and rifle balance for rifle sportsmen.

Our System benefits rifle actions, old and new, which can be fitted with the Center Balanced Rifle Platform System resulting in a finely balanced rifle due to the principles and ergonomics of the design.

All who have handled the rifles fitted with the Center Balanced system have complimented the feel and balance of the systems mounted rifle, firearms professionals and law enforcement persons included.

Mosin Nagant 26" Packer Pistol Folded Metal Design Concept
Derived from MN 9130 with barrel shortened to 20", but no shorter than 26" overall legal limit
The shroud at the end of the barrel houses repulser fins, re-directing the expelled gas energy during firing at a 45 degree angle backward on both sides, assisting in felt recoil reduction.

This unit has our suggested speed bolt system - even lefties can use this system
Note regarding the Spike design front grip -

The Spike front grip was designed in response to special ops request for a three finger "hook" and articulating thumb front grip (for tac gear lights, etc.).  Even so, the shooter can still use the palm up horizontal support method in front of the grip, or place the palm beneath the front grip for target posture (with the left elbow braced against the rib-cage), and finally, in most models, have room to install a broomhandle front grip on the lower picatinny rail if they prefer.
One of our concerns for our Ruger 1022 design has been that it could have required an expensive SBR license

So we came up with this  -
This is for the standard 17" tapered barrel model- the recoil gases repulser fins section extends the stock/rifle length to the legal 26" minimum.  We' ve sent a note to the BATFE to confirm and they have accepted the concept.

Mosin Nagant Safari

The Bull barrels currently being offered by Classic Arms for the MN ($79, cut down machine gun barrels to 22" - tapered 1.5" down to one inch)  provide a unique opportunity for the MN  enthusiast.   Tapping a good platform in place on the barrel, and adding good optics should provide for much better than normal accuracy.  They have also been offering raw receivers if you don't want to mess with the associated work required to remove and replace the assembly on a factory stock MN.  The barrel itself weighs in at 6 pounds, so we'll be lightening the load from our end as much as possible without sacrificing the chassis strength we're known for, while keeping the overall length to 32" or so.

After we get ours tested and such we'll let you know how things go.
Saiga Civi Rifles

Due to the good reports (chrome lined barrels, better factory finishes) and economical prices (about $300) being offered by Saiga distributors currently, we will soon be releasing the  Saiga Civi Rifle models  We have checked and it seems that the 5.45, the 5.56 and the .308 will work as well.   For this model, the scoutscopes.com rear sight base is recommended.  Even so we will have a front rail for those who want to do a front holograhic optics mounting.

These are sweet!!  We include two trigger rods - one for converted and one for non-converted trigger locations.
...with front mounted holographic optics.  The optional front base will be included with the kit.

Mosin Nagant Indi - the MNI (the Mini) -
derived from M38, M44 with bayonet removed (quite a chore) or 9130 with barrel shortened set in skeletonized frame - overall length is 27"
This indespensible set-up is on our soon to be released list.  We've fired this at the range and it became the center of attention.  First of all because a lot of car alarms in the parking lot were set off with the muzzle blast .  Secondarily, a lot of long range shooters huddled around the table to get a look and feel of the unit.  This one is Sweeeet!

The Bad news is the related reworking cost and challenges for fitting a nice looking stock around the unit.  Also, the large fixture in the barrel where the carry handle originally went is located inconveniently for  aesthetically appealing treatment.  On top of these incidentals, these 1.5" heavy barrels seem to be drying up.

Of course we're still quite pleased that the CBRPS MN Standard gets 1" groups at 100 yards with the factory barrel using our system.
Field test, Feb 29, 2012

Good News:  We took our unit in the rough free floating version shown just to see if the accuracy was reasonable.  After quickly getting 2" groups at 100 yards we moved the target to 200 yards.  Taking our time, we were able to get 2" groups at 200 yards (one MOA - not bad for the old girl).  I was using the inexpensive scope shown and my eyesight only allowed me to focus on the big black dot, so I'm sure someone with good eyes and skill could do much better.  But at least I did better than a Rem 243 heavy barrel  at the table next to me at the range - they were impressed.  I'll be interested in seeing what the old girl will do at 1,000 yards.
We used this rough, but sturdy free-floating CBRPS skeletal stock with bi-pod mount along with our basic trigger rod set-up to test the basics of the heavy barrel performance in a 32" overall length.
In the process of doing this, we determined that we would go ahead and continue to develop a  1000 yard rifle (perhaps further if we can get a capable shooter) that could be reasonably re-created for those who would be willing to invest a bit more into their MN while using our system to make it possible to carry it in a 42" tactical bag .

We'll probably suggest a Green Mountain  1" bull barrel, with a barrel mounted picatinny rail, a Timney trigger (since their consistency is impeccable), and we'll probably use a block safety in lieu of the drop safety , since most military shooters prefer a manual safety.  We'll use dual  trigger actuator rods, and we'll put the finishing touches on a flat butt system that will yield a 14" LOP.    The shooter can add shims if preferred.   We'll also check with Limbsaver to see if they might be able to help us out with a suggested product of theirs.  The folding pod butt will be included.

We'll research two chassis systems and perhaps offer both.

The MN1000L designation unit will be lighter due to the utilization of folded metal for the front grip section.  Part of the testing will be the ability of the unit to stand up to the weight and recoil.  But thankfully our FMD subs have government experience with that kind of work.
The solid frame unit will be designated the MN1000.  It will have a solid aluminum framework to support the weight of the barrel while also providing a sturdy  attachment for the bi-pod pic rail.  It will be lightened as much as possible, but it will still be quite substantial.

Regrettably the barrels originally offered that would make this system work are no longer available.  As such we will abandon the Safari concept.  In lieu thereof, please stay tuned with the MN 1000 concept noted below.

The Raptor option has a fully shrouded barrel for various reasons and uses a UTG Ruger Picatinny rail, reversed and cantilevered for optics mounting so no additional machining is required.  An option for a 12" top picatinny rail would be available at additional cost.
The Ranger option has a fully exposed barrel top, allowing for barrel mounted optics.
Suitable for utilizing the factory barrel with our SS mounting platform on the rear sight base, or you can use a Brass Stacker unit.
We have designed these so a Teludynetech 1.25" barrel with barrel mounted optics will also work.

The Cossack has dual trigger actuator rods and is set up to accomodate the excellent Timney trigger for the Mosin Nagant.  As such the supplied trigger is purposely very thin, for maximum tactile differential pressure sensing while engaging the trigger.  The flat butt MN 1000 butt with folding rear pod will be utilized.

We will be testing the grip pod (beneath the pistol grip) to see if it is effective as a balanced "bi-pod".  Otherwise the picatinny rail beneath the barrel will do just fine for mounting your favorite bi-pod.

Update - Our testing of the repulser fins is requiring more work.  Our initial setup went downrange with the baffle housing with the first shot.  Though it definately reduced recoil, we apparently  need to upgrade the structure or abandon the concept.  We'd hoped to keep it somewhat light, but that may not be possible.  We'll let you know.
